Yay! Now that majority of the cast have been finalised, preparations for Lee Jun-ki's (Two Weeks) comeback is well underway. KBS' upcoming historical action drama Joseon Gunman is set late Joseon era and revolves around the titlular hero who seeks revenge against the assassin who murdered his family, giving up hiis skills and name as top swordman at the time and becoming more modernized and exchanging for a gun. PD Kim Jung-min of the epic romance saeguk The Princess' Man is under helm - I got to admit, I don't really like saeguks but I loved The Princess' Man so I'm hoping this new drama will be just as good. Not that I'm expecting the show to center entirely around the romance but a few scenes here and there, like Gaksital, would be nice.
The upcoming drama also stars Nam Sang-mi (Goddess of Marriage) who plays the love interest and rising actor Han Joo-wan (King's Family) possibly taking on the role of the second lead. It is set to replace Golden Cross in the ever so competitive Wed-Thu slot this June. Sigh, seems like Lee Jun-ki and Gong Hyo-jin will be competing against eachother again this year.
Drama gods and goddesses, please make this drama good!
